Oceans are big areas of salt water that cover around 72% of the Earth’s surface. Oceans greatly influence the weather, temperature, and food supply of humans and other organisms. There are five oceans on our planet Earth: the Pacific Ocean, Indian Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, Arctic Ocean, and Antarctic Ocean.
The layers of the ocean are the sunlight zone (0-200m), the twilight zone (200-1000m), the midnight zone (1000-4000m), the lower midnight zone (4000-6000m), and the trenches (+6000m).
