Commensalism is a form of symbiotic relationship in which one species benefits while the other is not affected or harmed.
In this interaction, an organism, known as the commensal, gains benefits such as food or shelter by living in close proximity to another organism, called the host, without causing significant harm to it.
A common example is the clownfish and the sea anemone: The clownfish finds protection among the stinging tentacles of the sea anemone, whilet the sea anemone is unaffected and does not experience any negative changes in its life.
