Biology is the natural science field that studies living things. The word biology comes from the greek language: “bios” means life, and “logos” means study. It could be described as the science of life and living organisms.
Biologists study humans, plants, animals, and their surroundings (including their enviroments). They research, identify, classify, organize and explore the different living organisms and their ecosystems. Biology covers diverse fields of study, such as botany, ecology, marine biology, and microbiology.
