Reptiles are cold-blooded vertebrate animals. They have a dry skin covered by scales or horny plates. Reptiles have lungs and need air to breathe. Even if thev live in the water, such as turtles, they have to come to the surface to be able to breathe.
Most reptiles have four legs, and some of them can run really fast. Others have no legs and move by pushing their bodies against the ground.Most reptiles have a long and thin body shape. Some examples of reptiles are: turtles, crocodiles, snakes, tortoises, or lizards.
