A plant is a living organism that belongs to the Plantae kingdom and, as a general rule, grows on land, water, or even other plants.
Plants get what they need and use it to grow. To obtain these nutrients, they must carry out two essential functions: photosynthesis and respiration.
Photosynthesis is a process through which plants make their nutrients. This process enables them to develop and grow. Plants need sunlight, carbon dioxide, water, minerals and chlorophyll to carry out photosynthesis. All these components are obtained from the environment where they live.
