The water cycle is a natural process on Earth in which water constantly moves between the atmosphere, the Earth’s surface, and the oceans.
It begins with evaporation, where solar heat converts water into vapor from sources such as oceans and rivers. Then, the vapor rises and cools, condensing into clouds.
When the clouds become heavy enough, they release water in the form of rain or snow, which falls to the surface in the process called precipitation.
The water flows into rivers and oceans, seeps into the soil, and feeds underground sources, repeating the cycle.
