A grassland is a large flat land filled with low-growing plants and flowers. There are plants, animals, and other living organisms living 0n a grassland ecosystem. Grasslands contain mostly grasses, not trees, shrubs, sand, or water.
Grasslands are generally located between deserts and forests. Most grasslands are found in central North America, South America (most of them in Uruguay and Argentina), and Asia along the southern portion of Russia and Mongolia.
