What is the numerator?
Numerator represents how many fraction pieces you have from the total. In this example, (1/8) you get one piece of pizza from the 8 slices(total). So when you eat a slice of pizza, you are eating 1/8 of the pizza.
What is the denominator
Denominator represents how many fraction pieces your whole is broken into. In this example, 8 means that we have broken the pizza in 8 slices. The pizza is a whole wich is divided into eight slices. Every slice represents (1/8) of the pizza.
