Types of prepositions
Prepositions can be classified into:
- Prepositions of place. They are used to show where something happened or will happen. Some examples are: in, on or at.
- Prepositions of time. They are used to show when something happened or will happen. Some examples are: between, under or over.
- Prepositions of direction. They show movement from one place to another place. Some examples are: across, into or towards.
